In the "Concrete Camouflage" series, Cortesnyc merges abstract expression with urban materiality.
Built from layers of spray paint, collage, and wall-like textures, the piece evokes the raw surface of a weathered urban façade. Cracked concrete, peeling paint, and timeworn grime form the visual base.
Over this distressed foundation, Cortesnyc overlays camo patterns. Classic military motifs fragmented and reinterpreted through the lens of graffiti. The camouflage, rendered in spray paint, shifts in opacity and color, bleeding into the textured background as though trying to both conceal and reveal itself.
